The Michigan Area Haiti Task Force is working with Bahamas Methodist Habitat, a mission flight organization related to the Bahamas Methodist Church. This non-profit organization is flying needed medical supplies, medicines and other relief items to Jeremie, Haiti. The air flights delivering needed items have created a “bridge of hope” for the Haitians leaving the earthquake area and flooding into places like Cayes, Petit Goave and other regions outside of devastation in and around Port-au-Prince.

Rev. Jean Lesly Dorsely (Circuit Superintendent for the Jeremie and Leon Circuits) has requested an urgent need for medicines and medical supplies for the vast number of refugees are arriving daily, in sick and injured. The supplies are needed at the Gommeies Clinic, the hospital in Jeremie, and other can also be delivered to health agencies in the Petit Goave Circuit.

Abe (Abraham) McIntyre is the Executive Director for Bahamas Methodist Habitat a ministry of the Bahamas Methodist Church. This non-profit organization made it possible for the 17 members of Don Gotham’s team to be air lifted from Jeremie following the earthquake of January 12, 2010.
